What the regulations stipulate?
Regulation of the Minister of the Interior of November 22, 2024, amending two areas of fire protection in buildings.
Area 1: Clarifying the requirement to use suitable equipment for detecting fire and carbon monoxide threats.
Area 2: Requirement to properly mark the junctions of fire barriers with external walls and roofs in large commercial, production, and warehouse buildings.
When does the regulatory requirement start?
- Hotel rooms and residential premises offering short-term rentals must be equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors by June 30, 2026.
- Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors must be installed in residential areas where fuels are burned, starting January 1, 2030.
