Can it be connected to an Application?
No. They can only be connected to each other. If one rings, the others will sound an alarm.
Why smoke alarm beeping when there is no smoke?
To know why the smoke alarm beeps, let's get to know when it alarms. The smoke alarm usually alarms for these 3 situations: when there is a smoke, and it alarms when the smoke level reaches the value; secondly it might be a fault alarm when there is a bug or some dust wents in; thirdly it will also alarms when it's low battery warning. So how can we get to know why it alarms? You can also judge by the LED indicator that tells you the real reason. When the Green indicator flashes once perminute it means it's standby. When the Red indicator flashes once per second it means it has detected the smoke and alarming. When the Red indicator flashes once per minute means the smoke alarm is in fault. When the Red indicator flashesonce per minute that means the smoke alarm is already Low battery. You need to change it.
How many smoke alarms do i need for home?
For home use, when the height of the space is less than 8m (3.28 ft), the protection area of a device is20 ㎡–40 ㎡. So you can judge how many smoke alarms according to how many bedrooms and the area for your home.

The smoke alarm uses photoelectric smoke sensor for responding quicker to smouldering fires and the dense smoke given off by foam filled furnishings or over heated PVC.
What's the difference between S04-R8 and S05-R8-A?
First of all, the technology and batteries used in the two smoke detectors are the same. The only difference is the connection method. S04-R8 cannot currently connect to the gateway, while S05-R8-A can connect to the gateway and be used on the mobile app.
