What is the connected detector kit, and what devices does it include?
The connected detector kit is a safety system that includes three smoke detectors, one heat detector, and one carbon monoxide detector. These devices connect via wireless technology to monitor your home’s safety and promptly alert you to potential fire or carbon monoxide hazards.
How do I install these detectors?
Each detector comes with detailed installation instructions. Generally, smoke detectors should be installed on the ceiling or on the wall close to the ceiling, the heat detector can be placed in the kitchen or other areas that may generate heat, while the carbon monoxide detector should be located near sleeping areas. Each detector can receive signals up to 1000 meters away (in open space).
How do the detectors connect with each other?
When you receive this product, they are already connected successfully. You only need to press the button of one of the detectors for 10 seconds to check whether it is connected successfully. When one detector triggers an alarm, all the detectors will sound simultaneously, ensuring you receive immediate notification. If you need to disconnect or add more devices, please refer to the manual or ask the customer service staff. Thank you.
How do I maintain and test these detectors?
It's recommended to press the test button on each detector monthly to ensure they are functioning properly. Regularly clean the detectors by using a soft cloth or vacuum attachment to remove dust. Additionally, replace the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors every 10 years, while the heat detector should be replaced every 8–10 years.
